We were a part of the natural world. Our lives were shorter, but immensely richer. Each day we had more time with family, more time with our community, more time to be ourselves. It wasn’t idyllic by any means, but our species existed “in the moment,” directly connected with the natural world.
PARADISE LOST
But paradise wasn't enough. Our species sought dominion and security in this world, but our dominion became the curse of every other species on the Earth, and we have not found security in the tens of thousands of years since we invented language, agriculture, animal husbandry, and war. Nor did we find peace. We have been a species constantly at odds with ourselves and with our environment. We have poisoned the Earth. We have driven countless species to extinction and we are on track to destroy a million more. We have lived our lives inside the fantasy dreams of narcissistic and sociopathic leaders. While we live longer lives, we know no comfort or peace. This cycle of failure, destruction and despair is coming to an end, and it is now our choice where the next cycle will take us. It is up to us, you and I, and all those now awakened to undo our species' mistakes and make them right. It is up to us to create new paths for our species, a world without unfounded belief, a world built on love and compassion, a world of enlightened leaders. By our intentions and commitments we will change the world.
PARADISE FOUND
Today, we face the multiple threats of global warming, pandemics, pollution, species extinction, and over-population, as well as countless other problems wrought my humanity. Path Finder examines the underlying causes for these colossal failures, and provides a framework to address them. There are paths we can take that will restore balance in nature, that will restore balance with humanity and within ourselves. This book will help you find your path.

Path Finder is a tool that may enable you to make choices, strengthen your resolve, take action, work with others and find a path that gives meaning to your life. You may help bring forth the restoration of balance on our loving Earth.
This book will not tell you what to think, but it may show you how you think. Beyond that, it is up to you.
Johnny Peaceseed was born in the Spring of 2003. I had been struggling with how I might meaningfully contribute to creating a better world. And then, on a lost forlorn night Johnny burst into my mind unbidden, and I soon realized that Johnny could help me separate myself from unsureness and timidity. Johnny allowed me to step out of my skin, and any reluctance I might feel about standing up for what I believe. Johnny wrote speeches, wrote of injustice, showed me how to tap into my creative side, and how to become comfortable outside my comfort zone.
Over time Johnny has evolved, and I came to realize that my intuitive mind was where Johnny Peaceseed lived, and had been living for the last nineteen years. Alway ready to help, and always ready to keep me on the path. Johnny is the true author of this book, as well as countless t-shirt slogans, buttons, bumper stickers, and all I have written under his kind tutelage. Almost all of my ideas have come from Johnny's spontaneous insights in the dead of the night.
In July 2020, Johnny started wakening me every night with fresh bursts of ideas and insights, and kept me scrambling each dawn to write down each of his nightly revelations, and the following day to research their implications. I was also fortunate to have two wonderful editors who kept me grounded along the way.
Lest you think all of this is an old man's ramblings, I assure you that the underlying basis of harvesting our unconscious mind's thoughts is not, although some of you may choose not to put a name to your intuitive mind, and just take full credit for your silent partner's help.
